My PhD thesis focuses on investigating how maltreatment, during early childhood, affects the development of empathy and prosocial behavior. I am also investigating the biological mechanisms that are at the basis of these processes. Another area of interest is how parents' traits and mental state affect their child's empathy development. My thesis is part of the empathy in children at risk study.

I am a certified clinical psychologist and during 2013-2017 I was an intern at the "Abarbanel Mental Health Center", as a part of my clinical training. In the future, I hope to combine clinical practice with academic research.

I received support for the PhD from the School for Cognitive Sciences.
