I am interested in the experience of empathy and the way it relates to clinical conditions. My PhD thesis focuses on empathic disequilibrium, which targets the importance of the balance between emotional and cognitive components of empathy. Empathic disequilibrium provides a more nuanced understanding of empathy and its behavioral and biological mechanisms and it may help us better understand the experience of others. My research is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Alal Eran, and I am graciously supported by the Negev Scholarship.
